Gotugo was Proud to Have Donated its Time and Services to the 4th Annual “Walk for the Woods” Event

Scenic River Land Trust

Gotügo was proud to have donated its time and services to the 4th Annual 2009 “Walk for the Woods” event held on Saturday, April 18, 2009. In the efforts to preserve the South River Greenway, local residents of Crownsville, MD were able to explore a piece of wilderness right in the heart of Anne Arundel County. Not yet open to the public, the South River Greenway is a protected piece of land soon to become one of Anne Arundel County’s largest parks containing upland streams, lily filled ponds, spring wild flowers and over 57 species of birds. Hikes range from 1 to 4 miles on marked trials. This is one of many fundraising events gotügo has contributed to in the year 2009.

Here’s a thank you letter we recently received from the Scenic River Land Trust for sponsoring the Walk for the Woods event:

Dear Jason,

Thank you for your generous sponsorship of Scenic River Land Trust’s “Walk for the Woods 2009” with donation of three rest station rentals! We are very grateful for your support of a great day out for the local community and to help achieve our land preservation goals.

This year nearly 300 visitors enjoyed hiking the South River Greenway on a beautiful April day! Photos and bird lists are posted on SRLT’s website. We have had many inquiries about opportunities to visit the South River Greenway again and are pleased to be leading or supporting several scheduled activities. Please see www.srlt.org or call 443-596-0063 for more information.

Through your ongoing support, you are an integral part of the work to expand the South River Greenway and increase awareness of easement preservation options for private landowners throughout Anne Arundel County. If you would like to take a greater role in land preservation through voluntary conservation easements please contact SRLT’s Watershed Coordinator Alyssa Domzal at 410-424-4000 or at alyssa@srlt.org for more ways to be involved.

Thank you again for your financial support of our vision of conservation through preservation.

Sincerely,

Cliff Andrew
President of the Board
