Gotugo’s Emergency Services Called Upon by the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority

On Monday, June 22nd, one of the deadliest train wrecks occurred in Washington, DC, killing nine people and leaving many others injured. It was one of the worst train wrecks in the railroad’s 33 year history.

Later that evening, gotügo received a call from the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMTA) requesting urgent assistance due to the horrific train wreck occurring earlier that day. Gotügo’s emergency services were on the scene immediately. According to WMTA, because of gotügo’s eagerness to help and capabilities to assist in such emergency situations, gotügo will remain to be the WMTA’s “go to” portable restroom company.

Gotügo was proud to have donated their time and services to Dick Gelfman’s Ride Across Maryland on May 30 - June 1, 2009. This is the 9th year for the event to help fight against breast cancer raising $200,000 for the Komen Foundation. The event started at The Mall in Columbia and the riders rode all the way to the Francis Scott Key Motel in Ocean City, MD. The ride included motorcycles as well as cars. This is one of many fundraising events gotügo has contributed to in the year 2009.
